How to Use the New Microsoft Outlook

💻 Step 1: Open the New Outlook

Windows 11/10: Click the New Outlook toggle in the top-right corner of the classic Outlook app
Web Version: Go to https://outlook.office.com
Mobile App: Available via iOS or Android app stores

📌 You may need to restart Outlook the first time you switch to the new version

📬 Step 2: Understand the Main Interface

Mail: Access and manage your inbox
Calendar: Schedule meetings or view your day/week
People: Manage your contacts
To Do: Track tasks and flagged emails
Navigation Pane (left side): Switch between email, calendar, and other tools
Search Bar (top): Quickly find emails, contacts, or events

✉️ Step 3: Send and Organise Emails

To Send an Email:
- Click New Mail
- Enter recipients, subject, and message
- Use the attach icon to include files
Organise Inbox:
- Use Folders, Categories, and Rules
- Drag and drop emails into folders for sorting
- Use Sweep to clean up repeated messages

📅 Step 4: Use the Calendar

Click on Calendar in the left menu
To create a new event:
- Click New Event
- Add time, location, and invite attendees
- Use Teams Meeting toggle to make it virtual
View options: Day / Week / Month / Work Week

👥 Step 5: Manage Contacts & Tasks

People Tab:
- View and manage your contacts
- Create contact groups for easy email lists
To Do Tab:
- Create tasks, set due dates, and flag emails
- Syncs with Microsoft To Do across devices

🔁 Tips

Use the Focused Inbox to prioritise important emails
Pin important emails to the top for quick access
Schedule send for emails to go out later
Search is now faster and smarter—use keywords or contact names
